Thurrock Spectrum Brass has an ‘open door’ to new recruits. Whether you’ve not played a brass instrument in your life, are returning to playing after many years or are just looking for a Band to play with, we hope that you will consider us. Following the impact Covid-19 has had on school lettings, we have been forced to leave our usual home at The Hathaway Academy (The Grays School), and we are thankful to have found a new home for both our Senior and Training Bands, although in different locations.
Main/Senior Band
As of June 2021, our Senior Band has become resident at The Tilbury Band Hall. The Band Hall is a large space suitable for playing, and kindly also supplies us with music stands! We rehearse on a Friday evening between 7pm and 9pm. Players of all standards welcome!
If you’d like to find our rehearsal room, it’s located at 99-101, Dock Road, Tilbury, Essex, RM18 7BX. You can use the popular What Three Words service and search for “music.lights.organ” or use Google Maps.
Training/Junior Band
Our Training Band is resuming in January 2022, thanks to the support of the Grays Thurrock Team Ministry. Tuition and rehearsals will take place at St. Mary’s Church Hall, Dock Road, Little Thurrock, Esssex, RM17 6EX. You can, again, use What Three Words to find the church with the phrase “sing.system.fine” or use Google Maps.
